Our house

Our house was built back in 1975 and is holding up well. It is a two-story, mid terraced house made from bricks and mortar with a stone splash finish (I am not sure that "stone splash" is the official name but that is what I am giving it, as a slight aside it is not my favorite facade for a house but that is what we have). It is compact in size (especially compared to so many of the spacious houses I see on American blogs, sigh) but it is enough for the three of us. 

We have a long kitchen with a small dining area and living room downstairs. We have a very small garden to the front and a slightly larger one to the back. Sadly no driveway but we can normally find a space to park the car out the back.

Upstairs we have two bedrooms and a bathroom. Our master bedroom is the slightly larger of the two bedrooms and we use the second room as a guest bedroom/office space. The hallway contains a small cupboard that holds the heating boiler for the house.
