A big hello from The Gibson's and welcome to our little corner of the blogging world.
I am Kara Gibson, a self confessed DIYaholic and lover of all things pretty and romantic. Alan is my understanding and supportive husband who is always on hand to help when I have another one of my "great ideas". And Rosie is our beautiful and boisterous black lab.
Alan and I met in high school almost ten years ago and we have been on a fun-filled adventure ever since. We both managed to make it through university and find jobs as scientists (please excuse our geeky side!) whilst trying to travel the world whenever possible. In 2010 we bought our first home and moved in. For the first year we accumulated furniture and many, many miscellaneous items and really just enjoyed being home owners. In September 2011 we got engaged and spent the next six months planning our special day. After having a fantastic day and lovely honeymoon we came home and realized the time had come to renovate our home.
This blog is really an online report of our home renovations and hopefully serves as a source of encouragement for us to keep on going. We are both complete DIY novices but what we lack in practical skill we make up for in enthusiasm. When we aren't out making the next big discovery in the science world we are at home thinking of new ways to making our home even better.
